Confused yet? The Fuolornis Fire Dragon is a mythical creature created by Douglas Adams in his Trilogy work, "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". I'm a big fan of the books, and those dragons are one of my favorite creatures from them. They only get about a paragraph of time in the whole series, but the ecstasy and tragedy of their existence is quite the story. See, the Furlornis Fire Dragon was a powerful aphrodisiac, inciting the population of Brequinda into wild fits of lust as they flew overhead. Unfortunately, the planet became so overpopulated with tourists looking for a 'good time' that the dragons were forced into extinction. Now, they are only a myth.

My image is much tamer than lust, however. It was meant to convey simple affection and contentment as the couple watched the magnificent beasts migrate across the ocean of an unknown world.

This was the first image I've ever done that I feel is decent enough for 'public consumption.' There are still a few things I don't like about it, some things I think could've been done much better, but overall I like the feel of this image.

This was the best, and last, image that I did during my first bout of 3d art experimentation. It's about 3 years old, and I've learned a lot since I made it. I almost didn't add it to my gallery, but I'm glad I decided to.
